ISTE Certification Training

METC is proud to be selected as one of a dozen ISTE Certification Authorized Providers (CAP) across the world to offer ISTE Certification at your location or ours. In June 2020, ISTE selected METC as one of eight CAP's to provide a completely online version.

Through this high-quality professional development, educators participate in three phases of learning. Phase One is either onsite OR virtual training and consists of approximately twelve hours of foundational information and content. Phase Two is an eight week online course that is semi-self-paced and dives deeper into the instructional practices and application of the ISTE Standards. While Phase Three is the creation and curation of digital artifacts for a personal portfolio.

After completing the Phase Two online course with at least an 80% accuracy, educators have six months to apply their learning and compile artifacts and reflections into a competency-based portfolio to earn ISTE Certification. (Phase Three)

The cohorts are typically 12-24 educators from all content and leadership roles. Based on the ISTE Standards for Educators and utilizing the ISTE Standards for Students, this eight month process is designed to transform pedagogy & enhance instructional design through the use of technology.

METC has trained over 200 educators and will continue reaching those educators interested in this high quality professional learning. You can review the agenda for more information about ISTE Certification and inquire about a Customized PD for your staff if desired.
