In this idea packed session, our METC Featured Speaker will share her journey of implementing NGSS Engineering Design in her first grade classroom. Through the use of robotics, LEGO's, computer science programs, iPad apps and other strategies for integrating technology with 21st century skills across the curriculum, Christina Garcia is striving to inspire the next generation of explorers in a student centered environment that is engaging and fun. Examples of Dash & Dot, BeeBots, Tynker, Code.org, MinecraftEDU, Kodable and others will be shared. At the end of this session, you will have innovative STEM experiences you can use with your students.
