Explore engaging ideas for no-tech and lo-tech activities that teach coding concepts, critical thinking, and problem solving skills. Learn how our youngest students can learn to code using color, symbols, shapes/patterns and syntax. Example tools include Bloxels, Code.org, and Sphero. You will leave understanding that coding language and concepts may be taught without the aid of a computer, as well as engaging ways to teach problem solving and critical thinking skills. The value of coding in the classroom will be explored by demonstrating how coding can evolve from unplugged activities.
