Twitter is a free tool that can help grow your professional learning network and allow you to learn in real-time whenever and wherever you are. It truly allows for differentiated and personalized professional learning. Bring your device, as you will set up both Twitter and TweetDeck accounts to use as a professional learning network, identify other Twitter users that you may want to follow to learn and borrow ideas from, search Twitter for information about a particular topic. Like much in 21st Century education, professional development is evolving with the use of technology. Twitter and TweetDeck are tools that elevate professional learning, allowing the educator to develop your own personal learning network to meet your professional learning needs. Twitter and TweetDeck are both free web-based tools.
