Important Dates

METC Spotlight Educator Nomination / Application Due May 15, 2017
Preconference Workshop Proposal Period: May 12  - July 12, 2017
General Session Proposal Period: May 12 - September 6, 2017
Proposal Status Notifications Sent: October 2017

*Please note: when submitting your session proposals begin by clearing the cookies in your browser.  If you are using Google Chrome you may do this by going to "Settings>Advanced Settings>Content Settings> Cookies".  From there, scroll down until you see a search bar option, search for CVENT and remove all of those cookies.

If you still have issues submitting a session, try using a different web browser or using incognito mode in the browser.

Preconference Workshop Proposal Deadline: July 12, 2017
All preconference workshops take place on Monday, February 12. Workshops are three hours in length.
General Session Breakout Session Proposal Deadline: September 6, 2017
All general sessions will take place on Tuesday, February 13 and Wednesday, February 14.

Presentation Proposal Process Timeline

All practicing educators are welcome to submit presentation proposals to METC*. Sessions will be accepted based on connection to the conference theme and level of interest to attendees. All proposals will be scored and reviewed by the METC Conference Committee and EducationPlus Staff once the submission deadline has passed. Applicants will receive notice of the status of their proposal(s) in October 2017.


Strands & Session Types:
General Session (50 Minutes) - limited to two presenters, plus students if applicable
Panel Session (50 Minutes) - limited to four panelists, plus students if applicable 
Poster Session (90 Minutes) - limited to two presenters, plus students if applicable

Presenter Requirements

All METC presenters are required to register for the conference by December 15, 2017. After acceptance notices have been sent, presenters will receive instructions on how to register to receive the presenter discounted rate. Presenters are required to provide a link to any presentation resources which will be posted in the METC App and website. More information is located on the Presenter Info page.
