With the recent changes to e-rate, schools now look to alternative sources of funding for their technology needs. Join us as we discuss the K-12 grant funding landscape, review specific technology-friendly grants, and offer tips for a successful proposal submission. This session will benefit you by providing you with distilled information on technology-friendly grants targeted towards K-12 education initiatives. As a result of attendance, you will be able to name different sources of funding for technology-friendly grant opportunities; including funding amounts, and deadlines; recognize RFP/guidance language stating whether or not a grant is "technology friendly"; explain how technology can be built into a grant proposal as a means to accomplish the project's goals; and describe 10 tips for getting grant funding. No brand specific technologies will be demonstrated within this presentation; all references are intentionally generalized so as not to show favoritism among solutions.
